I could most definitely see the foreshadowing in chapter 11, like how it was raining a ton and it was really hard to get through the rain. Then he met a person he knew from his old village, which I was like oh that’s nice, like just to see a familiar face, outside of all the people you’ve spent the last weeks with. Then he was like oh help me out with this, oh yeah, and your family lives down there. So he was all excited about hearing that his family, probably especially his brother, was okay. I think he was excited to hear his brother was okay just because he went through that whole period where they thought their family had all died, and they had to live all by themselves basically. Then rebels had attacked their village, and that was really sad, because Ishmael just wanted to like go down there and protect his family and he couldn’t. Then some soldiers just captured him a little while later.
