CB2A 1

I think that I belong in many states, just because I have family there that I’ve visited many times, and I’ve gotten to know how it is. I feel like I belong in Ohio, Arizona, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. , and Mexico. I feel like I belong in these states because I go there at least every 2 years or less, but Mexico is a different subject for me because I’ve only been there twice, and I’ve just loved every minute of it and I really enjoy getting to know how people there live and the lifestyles and the culture and its just really helps me get a different view on life that I can use later on if I need to.
I feel like I don’t belong in over-seas countries, mostly because it’s so foreign from me that I have no clue how to act and how things are and everything is just so different that I feel like it’d take me forever to et used to things and know where everything is and be like most of the people there and be able to fit-in.
I’m supposed to fit-in in Indiana, but I don’t and I feel like I don’t because I’ve heard everybody say, “oh you’ll get used to the weather” but I never have and I’ve lived here most of my life and I have no clue what to do here, or where most cities or famous cites are.

Why do dreams fail?

The definition of a dream is a) a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person’s mind during sleep; b) a state of mind in which someone is or seems to be unaware of their immediate surroundings; c) a cherished aspiration, ambition or ideal. I think that the best definition would be option b) because it’s not specific to what type of dream it but still says that they are unaware, so they could be asleep or still awake.
There are a couple different ways you could dream, one can dream while asleep, and one can dream while awake, which is called daydreaming. I think that daydreams are more what you actually want and or need because one typically blocks out all the sounds and things going on around them while daydreaming.
Dreams fail because sometimes they aren’t always true, or you can’t remember them. Also because sometimes when you’re sleeping you’re able to hear what other people are saying, and that can get into your dream and make unreal and go a different way from where it was heading, which can be a bad thing, because then you might go into nightmares and other stuff, which is bad.

Of Mice and Men blog:3

"How important is it for human beings to have a place where they 'belong,' where there are people who know and love them?"

I think that it’s very important for human beings to have a place where they belong because then they have people around them that will understand how they are and understand how they see things, but at the same time I think that it’s good to have people which aren’t exactly like you because then you get different views of things and it really makes people think. I also believe that it’s important for human beings to have a place where they belong because then you know who your real friends are and that they really care about you and that since they know who you are and accept you for whom you are and won’t judge you.

"What makes a friend? Why do we have friends?"

The definition of a friend is a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations. A friend is a person that you can go to if you are having problems with something or someone, and they will tell you what they think, or they’ll just listen to what you are saying so you can get it off of your chest. It is also someone who doesn’t really judge you for what you do, and will accept you for who you are. Something people need to remember about friends is that they change over time, and you might lose some, but you might gain some at the same time. It’s really hard to stay friends for a long time because people change, and you lose contact, but you might become friends with them again in the future.
We have friends because we usually want to be able to depend on someone without getting judged and know that they will be for you when you need them or they will at least try to be.

Of Mice and Men blog:1

When people are a victim of a crime, they should be able to take the law into their own hands.
I disagree with this statement, because usually when a person takes the law into their own hands that person will end up in jail, because that person was so angry or upset about the other person going to jail that they weren’t thinking. I understand also that sometimes the government isn’t all that great and that guilty people are set free, but if you commit a crime against the person who was set free then you’re basically just as bad as the person who was set free but was actually guilty. I understand why people would want to get revenge, and take matters into their own hands but why would you do it if it’s against the law? That’s what doesn’t make sense to me, why someone would want to be as bad as the person who committed the crime?

Was it right for Romeo and Juliet to run off and get married? Or was it foolish? Or both? Explain your response.
I think that it was right because they did it because they both knew that their parents wouldn't allow them to marry one another because their families were enemies and they would always start fights and such, and if they asked their parents to get married and they actually agreed, at the wedding most likely someone in one family would start a fight with someone in the other family. They had to do it so quick because Paris would've gotten Juliet before Romeo did. Also Lord Capulet would've probably said "No" to Romeo because he was already getting an offer from Paris, and since Capulet and Montague are enemies he would've ruled Romeo out right away, although Lord Capulet let Romeo stay at the party because Lord Capulet heard that Romeo was a nice boy and knew that he probably wouldn't do any harm.
I also think that it was foolish of them because they planned their wedding to be so
soon before Paris and Juliet actually had a date for their wedding, I would accept their getting married so soon if Juliet had already known when the date for her wedding to Paris was but she didn't so I think that Romeo and Juliet could've gotten to know each other a little bit more than they did, and maybe if they waited to get married things wouldn't have ended the way they did.
Would you have lied to your whole family if you were in Juliet’s position? Why or why not?
Yes I would've lied because she knew her parents wouldn't approve one bit, so she figured it would be best to keep him a secret so she wouldn't dissappoint or make her parents mad.
Should Romeo have been punished for killing Tybalt? How should he have been punished? Explain why you think this.
Yes because he still knew that anyone who killed another would've gotten killed but he did it anyways so he knew what was coming, and he should consider himself lucky to be just kicked out of Verona instead of killed.

GO ASK ALICE #3

I highly doubt she's going to stay off the drugs like she says she will because she always seems to say things, but never follow through. She's a very untrustworthy person in my opinion. She actually kind of annoys me because of that.
