I thought that these chapters well were really rather frightening, because it just kept changing up. Like it would be like they were safe, and then they weren’t, but they’re never really safe, because the rebels could come at any time.
It kind of like sickened me when he was describing how hungry they were, and how it hurt even to drink water. Also when they like attacked the little 5 year old boy, I was like oh my word. There’s like no words to describe it…I mean I understand that they really needed food, but like attacking??? It was just like wow. Then when they were standing in line for the judgment, I was so scared, and then they walked them down to the river. That was really scary! I was really happy, but scared at the same time, when they escaped though, and then that bullet hit the tree right above his head!!! I thought that the rebels had found him, because of how it was written it didn’t seem like he was all that deep into the bush.
